Minimum Order Quantity
For customers in the Netherlands and nearby border areas, we offer bulk deliveries by truck – meaning the substrate is delivered without packaging. One question we often get is why we require a minimum order quantity (MOQ). We would like to explain why that is.
Substrate and cultivation performance
Our substrates are often tailored to the performance you want to achieve in your cultivation. Think of desired properties such as:
- the right amount of air in the root environment,
- sufficient stability of the mixture,
- optimal water buffer and easy availability of moisture,
- good water absorption capacity,
- and balanced drainage.
The mixing proces
To achieve this, we mix different raw materials and fertilisers in the right order and proportion on specially equipped mixing lines in our plants. This is not only about volume, but also about accurately adding fertilisers in complex combinations.
The mixing line consists of several raw material bunkers spread over a long distance. During the production process, fertilisers are added in stages while the line is already running. As a result, part of the substrate has already been processed, while not all the additives have yet been fully added and mixed. Only after a short start-up phase is the mixing line properly set up and calibrated.
For this reason, we apply a minimum production order to ensure reliable and consistent quality.
Minimum order quantity
Do you need a smaller quantity? We have a large stock of standard products available. We can deliver these stock products, including our hobby products, from as little as 1 pallet.
